IAAC Announces Dates for 2011 New York Indian Film Festival

The Indo-American Arts Council proudly kicks off its second decade of film excellence with a new name and a new set of dates for its signature event of the year. The New York Indian Film Festival: 11th Annual IAAC Film Festival will take place from Wednesday, May 4 to Sunday, May 8. Formerly held every November, the oldest and most prestigious film festival for Indian cinema in North America now moves to its new spring home on the first weekend of May.

Ontario, Canada to host IIFA Weekend and Awards 2011

Having travelled to locations like Great Britain, China, Europe, Middle East, Thailand and Sri Lanka in the past, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) will make its North American debut in Ontario, Canada this year. The announcement was made at a Press Conference in Toronto on 19th January, attended by Honorable Premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty and Indian film stars Anil Kapoor and Preity Zinta . The three-day long IIFA Weekend and Awards is all set to take place from 23rd – 25th of June.
